As the days grow brighter and new energy fills the air, the DRAGONflies invite you to a special concert evening: FRÜHLINGSERWACHEN (Spring Awakening), a musical prelude to the new season.
In the unique atmosphere of the Westkreuz Church, a concert unfolds that combines new beginnings, lightness, and emotional depth. With musical diversity, sensitive arrangements, and impressive timbres, the DRAGONflies create an evening that touches the soul and lingers long after the music has ended.
The ensemble combines influences from musicals, jazz, pop, and international soundscapes to create a unique live experience. Sometimes powerful and dynamic, sometimes quiet and intimate.

On April 25, we will present a special concert program at Horns Erben with a focus on Balkan pop and jazz.
Paul Foulkes’ arrangements lend the folkloric themes a new musical language: sometimes energetic and danceable, sometimes atmospheric and lyrical. The ensemble is complemented by a versatile range of instruments, including piano, strings, brass, bass, and drums, which shape the band's characteristic, colourful sound.
The concert promises a lively musical journey between tradition and modernity – with powerful voices, improvisational freedom, and the rousing energy of Balkan rhythms and jazz.
Biedermeierstrand Hayna | 7.30 pm
Rousing rhythms, powerful vocals, and a touch of home: DRAGONflies transport their audience into a world of sound full of energy and emotion. DRAGONflies have prepared a special program for this concert. They sing in Bulgarian, Marta’s native language, bringing the full diversity of Balkan sounds to the stage.
They are supported by the dance group Madina, whose traditional Bulgarian dances bring the musical experience to life and transport the audience right into the heart of Balkan culture.
Look forward to an evening that combines music, dance, and emotion – authentic, passionate, and full of joie de vivre!
Jazz meets musical, traditional Bulgarian music meets pop – in the magical atmosphere of St. Peter’s Church Leipzig. Supported by the Bulgarian cultural association “Pencho Slaveykov” e.V., Dahler & Company, Allianz Sterl and Bar Integrale.
